Airport Plazas offers free parking to all automobile patrons. In certain sites, Airport Plazas has been asked to develop parking lots specifically designed for trucks. Due to increased costs for development of these sites, there are often charges associated with the truck parking.
There are a number of security conditions that Airport Plazas must undertake in order to insure a safe environment. The Known Shipper database provides a systematic approach to assess risk and determine the legitimacy of shippers. Passenger Air Carriers and Indirect Air Carriers must comply with a broad range of specific security requirements to qualify their clients as Known Shippers. As an operator of an airport facility, Airport Plazas would comply with the TSA and airport guidelines for security at the specified airport. This includes the inspection of trucks, maintaining a secure perimeter to the truck parking area, and using a combination of lighting and surveillance cameras.
